We think it’s important to mention that staying in our home will be a unique experience. It’s a home built in 1905, it has quirks, cracks, and creaks but we do our best to keep it maintained and well cared for. We expect our guests to be respectful of our home, patient, and understanding that since this is not a hotel, there is not a round the clock staff, so we expect a level of self-sufficiency and flexibility from our guests.
That being said, it’s an awesome home, in a great location and neighborhood, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Guests have access to the entire property except the garage. Guests are free to use all the yard spaces including the al fresco dining, hammock, grill, pergola, and fire pit. House guests also have access to 2 driveways, one that has 2 tandem parking spaces and one driveway for one vehicle that is gated in the front yard. The grill and fire pit require propane. There are tanks on-site but they may require filling or exchanging, because this is very difficult to monitor and maintain, refilling and/or exchanging propane is the responsibility of the guest. Check-in/out is completely remote. We are available by phone, text, or email but will not be on-site.
Turf Supper club directly behind the house has great cocktails and a unique cook-your-own dinner experience. Krakatoa, also behind the house, has delicious breakfast, lunch, and desserts (lots of gluten free options), Cafe Sobka on 25th and Broadway is our favorite, Russian/Georgian food. Krisp on 25th and C is a great grocery store with an impressive beer selection. We have many more suggestions and recommendations, just ask.
Bus stop on Broadway and 25th will take you in to south park or down town. Lyft, Uber, and Taxis are plentiful. The upstairs bedroom with the king bed has an open floor plan with the bathroom, it is best for couples or very open, comfortable friends. Grill and fire pit have propane tanks but propane is not guaranteed because it’s impossible to monitor. Guests are free to refill and exchange propane as needed during their stay. A security camera is present at the front door.
